Bryan Tuck Hired as Head Coach for 2026 Season.
As announced by The Players League, former Loggerhead coach Michael Caveney took a position with the league as commissioner of the leagues brand new college summer league in Texas "The Cowboy Collegiate League".
The Loggerheads want to thank Coach Caveney for a memorable inaugural season in 2025, and the best of luck in Texas!
With the vacancy in the dugout, General Manager James Boatwright set out to find a new coach that could continue the momentum heading into 2026. "Coach Tuck has a proven record on the field, and off the field. The praise I heard from his former players made this an easy decision on my part" says Boatwright on the new head coach of the Loggerheads Bryan Tuck.
Coach Tuck has 16 years coaching experience at the High School level including 5 years at Chapel Hill High School and is currently entering year 3 at Hoggard High School in Wilmington. In that time, Bryan Tuck has been fortunate enough to send 21 players off to play college baseball.
"I am super grateful and excited at the opportunity to lead the Loggerheads this summer. I am thankful to be apart of an organization that is invested into the players and their experience." says Coach Tuck. When asked about what he is most looking forward to in 2026 he said "building positive and impactful relationships with our coaching staff, players, and fans".
Coach Tucks relationship first mentality is what will make 2026 a successful season for the players that come into Oak Island this summer. We look forward to working with Coach Bryan Tuck in 2026.
